Set between the North Berwick witch trials in Scotland and the plague-stricken streets of 16th-century Paris, the story blends historical mystery, human drama, and a subtle supernatural thread. At its heart are two healers, the midwife Agnes Sampson and the young physician Assen Verey, whose worlds overturn amid fear, accusation, and the struggle to preserve human dignity in an age of turmoil.
Readers have described the novel as “gripping,” “atmospheric,” “beautifully written,” and “spellbinding.”
Alongside my fiction, I have written three non-fiction books on near-death experiences (NDEs) and the paranormal, drawing on hundreds of personal testimonies and years of independent research. These works explore the extraordinary stories of those who have glimpsed the Afterlife, offering insight, comfort, and a deeper sense of meaning.
Whether you’re here for historical fiction, supernatural mysteries, or research-based exploration of NDEs, I’m delighted to welcome you.
My first NDE book was Showing Us the Way Home: the Gift of Near-Death Experiences (NDEs). Here I show why increasing numbers of NDEs are coming to light now, at this point in history.
